2006 NBA ALL-STAR INFORMATION CENTRAL

MAIN EVENT

All-Star Entertainment in the Downtown Entertainment District
Houston hosts the NBA All-Star Game and activities Feb. 16-20, 2006. The main entertainment stage will be set up in Market Square Park, featuring music from local and regional DJs.  On Preston Street, adjacent Market Square Park, radio broadcast booths will be installed for live shows Friday through Sunday. Additionally an interview stage will be constructed. Food, beverages and official NBA merchandise will be sold by street vendors.

Large scale, multi-media images will be projected onto buildings throughout the Downtown Entertainment District, including video projections of the All Star Game, Rookie Game and Slam Dunk Competitions, as well as images, interviews and concerts from inside the venues on Main Street.

Street Closures:
A block of downtown streets bordering Fannin, Texas, Milam and Congress will be closed to vehicular traffic starting at 6 p.m. each night Friday, Feb. 17 through Sunday, Feb. 19.
